The Willmar Police Civic Service Commission was established in 1956. The Commission's duties involve control and supervision of employment, promotion, and discharge of all officers and employees of the Willmar Police Department. The Commission grades, classifies, and maintains service records of the Police Department employees. It also drafts regulations, which promote efficiency within the department.
The Airport Commission exists to educate the Council and public on Airport matters, to secure support for a sound and viable Airport, and to assist with management decisions and operations of the Airport.
